Volunteer with the American Red Cross of Lee County

Welcome to the Lee County Red Cross Volunteer Corner

Red Cross is a volunteer-driven non-profit organization; in fact, volunteers make up 99 percent of our workforce! We appreciate your interest in learning how you can become involved.

Your first step toward becoming a volunteer is to fill out the enclosed volunteer application. You may mail or bring in the completed application to our Lee County office at the address above.

Secondly, we will schedule a time when you can attend our orientation class. We schedule the orientation class at least once a month on a Saturday.

During that orientation you will be interviewed by either the Director of Service Delivery or another volunteer in the Training Department. At that time, we can work together to determine your volunteer interests.

As a volunteer, you can get involved to whatever degree you want. From being called when shelters are needed to several hours per week. It is entirely up to you.

Training for volunteers is extremely important. You can call the chapter anytime between the hours of 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday thru Friday and schedule any training courses offered. Check the web site and monthly news letter for the calendar of events and classes offered. Please note there may be certain prerequisites for some of the more advanced classes. Again, thank you for your interest in helping!
